Join Uber Engineer Dr. Jeff Schneider as he discusses "The Future of Urban Mobility and Autonomous Vehicles."
Schneider is the engineering lead for machine learning at Uber's Advanced Technologies Group. He is currently on leave from Carnegie Mellon University where he is a research professor in the school of computer science. Schneider has 20 years of experience developing, publishing, and applying machine learning algorithms in government, science, and industry. He has over 100 publications and regularly gives talks and tutorials on the subject. A pivotal moment in Jeff's life was getting his first computer and realizing it could be programmed to do anything he could dream up. It was his own discovery of Turing completeness. That idea that a computer could do anything one could dream up inevitably drew him into the study of artificial intelligence.
