DESCRIPTION: Recipient of the 2003 National Award for Museum Service, Carnegie Science Center inspires and entertains by connecting science and technology with everyday life. In addition to providing valuable scientific experiences, Carnegie Science Center engages in outreach programs that serve Pittsburgh's diverse community. The Science Center is located on Pittsburgh's North Shore along the banks of the Ohio River and is accessible to persons with disabilities.

The Visitor Services Team is seeking a self-motivated, well-organized individual who loves to work with a variety of people, who has exceptional communication skills, and can handle him or herself with a great deal of poise with customers and team members.

This person is responsible for preparing and facilitating daily group visits. This includes greeting groups, directing buses, and management of lunch rooms. Must possess strong leadership skills. Successful candidate should have experience and strong interest in providing exceptional customer service. Successful candidates should also have a strong background in business computer software, databases and computer ticketing systems is favorable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires walking, lifting boxes and pushing carts within both interior and exterior environments
